I get fed up with my sheets and other laundry having spiders of black dog hair on them, after a good wash. So thought I would try a few modern ideas. I always vacuum all the bedding before washing it, in an attemptt to reduce the amount of hair going in to the machine - but there's always spiders of hair when the washing comes out.
The first suggestion was that a bottle of white vinegar poured into the machine removes the pet hair. That turned out not to be true.
One friend tried the balls, but they don't work either
I was gullible enough to buy some net pockets off eBay, that go in with the washing. I'm sad to report that these items came out of the machine as clean as when they went in - with not a single hair on them. But as per usual, the bedding had black hair spiders on it.
Apparently, the sheets to go in the tumble dryer are good at catching hair. But I don't have a tumble dryer.
So if you know of a guaranteed way to catch dog hair in the washing machine, please do drop me a line.
Many thanks
